Should the government make the banks reduce their interest rates? Interest rates are expected to come down today but most banks and building societies are unlikely to pass that rate decrease on to us in full in the form of cheaper mortgages or loans. Is it time to get tough with the banks, or did cheap credit get us into this mess in the first place? Plus: Should it be easier for people to make alterations to their homes?
