Crime drama series. Following the murder of his wife, top policeman Adrian Monk suffered a breakdown and developed an obsessive-compulsive disorder. Now he is working as a private consultant, and his unusual skills help him solve mysteries in unconventional ways. Monk's first case is a trivial fender bender offence, but it turns more serious when the police are informed of a missing school teacher.
