Based on the best-selling books by Susan Meddaugh, the series follows the adventures of Martha, a loveable, honest and kind dog. When accidentally fed alphabet soup, Martha gains the power of speech and using her new skills she gets jobs, foils bad guys, wins contests, runs for office and orders lots of pizza! Helen's mom and dad are starring in the community theatre production, and Helen's the stage manager. Even Martha gets a part - as a bull. When the big night finally comes, Mom and Dad get trapped in their dressing room. The play must go on, but now the bull is the bullfighter and the bullfighter is her sister!
