Tonight we're putting out a session The Liars recorded especially for Marc when they were in Manchester over the Bank Holiday weekend. Marc couldn't miss the opportunity to get a live set from them so came in on his day off .. dedication eh!!! The Liars Formed in 2000, The Liars first emerged from New York's post punk revival scene. Their debut album 'The Threw Us All In A Trench And Stuck A Monument On Top' was released in 2001. After the release of their first album, the band's line up changed with the original drummer and bassist leaving. The current line up is Angus Andrew (vocal/guitar), Aaron Hemphill (percussion/guitar/synth) and Julian Gross (drums). Recorded and written in LA, 'Sisterworld' is The Liars latest album. Released in March 2010 the songs are all linked by the theme of their experiences of life in LA. 'Scarecrow On A Killer Slant' is based on a real life shooting that took place on Angus' doorstep.
