Kitchen Criminals - Head to Head - Part 1

Top chefs John Burton Race and Angela Hartnett have scoured the country to find the nation’s worst cooks and now must try and turn them into Kitchen Heroes. John and Angela each have five cooks left on their teams, but will have to send one home at the end of the day. The first task for the Kitchen Criminals is to cook mackerel with crushed new potatoes, without any guidance from their mentors. John and Anglea then demonstrate the starters they expect their chosen protege to cook for the food critics in the grand final. Angela choses a salmon and scallop ravioli, whilst John opts for a red mullet nicoise with black olive tapenade and basil oil.
