House Swap - Episode 9

House-swapping is the latest trend to hit the property world. With around ten thousand properties registered with swap websites, it's a brilliant way to avoid the dreaded property chain and make that move onwards. Presenter Kristian Digby meets people who want to swap their home permanently, then shows them three properties to find their perfect match. This time he sets out to find the perfect house swap for animal lover Michaela Westlake, who lives with her three dogs, four budgies, parrot and chickens in a bungalow in the remote Snowdonia National Park in Wales. After 21 years of rural bliss Michaela has decided it's time to move back to England to be nearer her daughters. Richard and Sharon Royle want to swap their pretty house in Lancaster - complete with outhouses, garden and stream - for a similar house in Wales. Having swapped homes and lifestyles for a day, it's up to House Swap property negotiator Sunita Shroff to thrash out a deal. After a day of tricky negotiations will they decide to swap homes for good?
