Funky Fables - The Prince Maker

Well-known folk stories and fairy tales are given a modern twist, with viewers able to become the characters by uploading a picture of their face through the CBBC website. Familiar stories become intertwined with modern-day reality as Goldilocks and the Ginger Bread Man rob the Three Bears of the kingdom's porridge stash; the magic mirror becomes fed up with people's vanity and sets off on a road trip of personal discovery; the handsome prince makes the terrible mistake of cutting down the enchanted forest to make way for a motorway to race his cars; the kingdom is invaded by a horde of wandering cheesy singers, and even the big bad wolf is forced to become a vegetarian. In this story, the little match girl has had a rough day, selling only one box of matches to Jack for a single magic mariachi bean. Consoling herself by the pond, she meets a depressed frog prince who has been waiting for 25 years for a single kiss from a princess. The little match girl uses the magic bean to turn herself into a princess. She kisses the frog prince and hey presto! A prince stands before her. They return to her parents' house where she discovers that everything she kisses now turns into a prince. She is delighted with her house full of handsome princes, and the real prince is left out in the cold. Determined to prove that he is the only true prince, he hires a dragon for a mock fight, but the wrong dragon turns up. Will this be the greatest royal barbecue the kingdom has ever seen?
