Jake Humphrey presents coverage of the Hungarian Grand Prix from the Hungaroring in Budapest. Lewis Hamilton started the race in pole position 12 months ago, but it was his McLaren team-mate, Heikki Kovalainen, who crossed the line in first place to claim his maiden Formula 1 victory. German Timo Glock finished second to secure his first podium finish in what proved to be an eventful race. Brazilian Felipe Massa had looked every inch the winner until he experienced a spectacular engine failure with just three laps remaining, allowing Kovalainen to sweep pass him to take the glory. Lewis Hamilton suffered a flat tyre in the second half of the race and had to fight his way back through the field to claim fifth place. Jenson Button was a lap behind most of the field and finished 12th.
