Roxy comes downstairs to find Peggy trawling through the tracks on an MP3 player and is taken aback when her aunt announces that she thinks a ‘grime’ night could be just what they need to liven up the Vic. Wanting to seem in control, Roxy tries to secure a DJ and sends out some flyers but when her arrangements fall through, Peggy comes to the rescue with a lap top. When Abi shows Carol the knickers that she found behind the fridge, Carol covers for her brother by telling the girl that they are hers. Confronting Max about the underwear, who seems not to care, Carol expresses her disapproval of his alleged antics and even goes as far as warning Becca not to approach Max again. Becca walks away from stating that she can’t help it if Max finds her irresistible. Ian seems to have finally taken to Jane and Lucy’s plan. Giving her the day off school and finding a moment alone with Lucy, Ian places a cushion up her top and forces her to face her own reflection. Telling his daughter that he does not want to see her become the victim of local gossip, Ian listens to Lucy asserting her maturity and her desire to keep the child. Ian agrees to be supportive and the Beale family decide to spend an evening at home with a takeaway and a DVD. Ricky dresses up smart as he plans to visit King Edward V school to decide whether he is happy for Liam to study there. On his return, Ricky reports tales of metal detectors and student arsonists much to the displeasure of a mortified Bianca. Reluctantly, she finally agrees to accept Carol’s help in writing to the LEA to lodge a formal complaint regarding her son’s future in education. Trying to help her brother get back on his feet, Carol is having a tough time selling cars. However, teaming up with Billy, she convinces Max that she has sold him a car and he will pay in instalments. Horrified at the thought of Billy’s unreliable credit history, Max jumps into action and heads over to the car lot himself. Billie and Whitney are enjoying each other’s company more and more but Kylie and Connor intervene by taking Whitney into the Vic and sneaking alcohol into her drinks. With the pair daring her to down them, Whitney does not want to disappoint. Having spoken to Liz in Spain, Patrick tries to find out whom the flowers were sent by but his investigation leads him nowhere. With Peggy trying to liven up the crowd by dressing up as a Tequila girl, complete with short skirt and cowboy hat, she soon becomes the target of the Kylie’s sneers. An altercation with Kylie ends with Patrick’s pint being thrown over Peggy by the young troublemaker and, before Peggy’s palm can make contact with Kylie’s face, Roxy steps in and throws the youths out of the pub. Once outside, Billie tries to chastise Connor and Kylie for their behaviour and is less than impressed by the drunken Whitney. Kylie dowses Trina’s tree in tequila, then asks which one of them would like to drop the match. Back upstairs at the Vic, Roxy tells Peggy that she is making a fool of herself and that whilst she will always have a home at the Vic she is not needed behind the bar. A mortified Peggy pours herself a drink and when the phone rings, she is reluctant to pick up but eventually does. Dressed again in her own clothes, Peggy waits outside a police interview room and when the door is finally opened she sees the young Danny Mitchell, battered, bruised and bloody.
