That changes when he meets Lindsey Macallum, the Olympic diving hopeful who becomes pregnant with his baby. Robert is forced to confront what it is that he wants from life and, despite facing strong opposition from both family and friends, he surprises himself and Lindsey by embracing the idea of a baby. Why shouldn't they go for it? They are in love and ready for anything. As they wait for the baby to arrive and settle into domestic routines, Robert comes to realise that his traditional views of parenting are in opposition to Lindsey's, and it's tougher than either of them imagined to keep hold of their dreams and ideals.
