England's Fran Halsall should feature in the women's 50m freestyle, while the women's 400m freestyle should see the likes of Olympic champion Rebecca Adlington and Beijing bronze medallist Jo Jackson swimming in England's colours. Scotland's Caitlin McClatchey is the defending champion. England's Lizzie Simmonds will look to add the Commonwealth title to the European crown in the women's 200m backstroke, where her rivals should include teammate Gemma Spoffarth. In the women's 100m breaststroke, Australia's Leisel Jones will aim to supplement her extensive collection of Commonwealth gold medals, which numbered seven going into the Games. England's Liam Tancock should feature in the men's equivalent. Welsh swimmer and Paralympic legend David Roberts will compete in the men's S8 100m freestyle, hoping to add to the bronze medals he won in Manchester in 2002 and Melbourne in 2006.
